Job Title: CNC Operator - Wood Panel Saw
Location: Lewisville, TX
Pay: $18-20/hr paid weekly!
Hours: Mon-Thur from 6:30am-3:30pm; Fri 6am-10am
We are looking for a CNC Operator - Wood Panel Saw for our Client in Lewisville, TX! This role involves programming, running, and overseeing manual and CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders. As a Panel Saw Operator, you will ensure that machined parts meet precise specifications using tools like calipers, micrometers, and fixed gauges.
Responsibilities
- Adjust controls to set speed, feed, depth, and cutting angles based on guidelines.
- Secure workpieces correctly on machines to ensure proper machining.
- Choose and set tools and cutting depths according to material requirements.
- Start machines and monitor operations to detect any malfunctions or deviations.
- Check that finished parts meet specifications using precision measuring tools (+/- .002").
- Perform regular maintenance on machines to keep them running smoothly.
- Install, calibrate, and test machine tooling as needed.
- Monitor tool wear and inspect components before machining to confirm specifications.
- Work with other departments to provide timelines and tooling needs for projects.
- Manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining attention to detail.
- Read and understand complex drawings, making adjustments as necessary.
- Use drawing viewers and machine controls effectively.
- Assist in fabricating metal or composite parts and fixtures, including tasks like cutting and jigging.
- Complete any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and measuring tools (both metric and standard).
- Must have good communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in maintaining precise measurements (+/- .002") for machining high-precision parts.
- Good math skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
