We are looking for a Digital Sales Manager to join our Client's team in the Fort Worth area. This is with a large nation wide manufacturing organization headquartered in Ft Worth. They are also coming up on their 50 year anniversary.

The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for the hands-on management of the centralized team dedicated to the servicing of customers engaging via the Internet. This role is responsible for providing leadership for the Internet Sales & Reseller teams by demonstrating superior interpersonal skills, strong product knowledge, and ability to leverage emerging digital strategies for customer acquisition and development.
Responsible for the hiring, training, leading and professional development of a team of highly qualified, productive sales and customer support personnel. Utilizes effective communication, motivational and coaching techniques, leading by example, and providing ongoing performance management. Develops on-going and measurable training, development, and growth opportunities to effectively reward exemplary levels of sales, profitability, quality, and performance.
Drives profitability with quoting & pricing strategies in different situations including knowledge of competitor’s inventory position & pricing, current market conditions, and future opportunities with the customer.
Works with eBusiness to leverage web analytics information to drive repeat sales opportunities from users who have engaged with the company website, from viewing product information all the way through purchasing.
Drives continuous improvement within the digital experience & customer journey including automated and human touch points along the way. This includes focus on automation of transactional elements and maximizing relationship building touch points.
Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends and new concepts by reading industry publications, networking, and attending training events to ensure that the manager is continuously growing and evolving their toolset and is current on industry knowledge to aid in making informed strategic decisions. From a digital perspective this includes following industry commentary and detailed understanding of leading eCommerce strategies.
Works with extended team members on keeping up to date on industry competitor web offerings including tools & services as well as sales promotions and customer enticements to baseline and compare with Client's offerings and opportunities.
Works with and develops positive working relationships with Finance/Credit personnel as well as Trade & Compliance groups in order to make the compliance and order fulfillment process as efficient as possible for customers.
Ensures sound quality principles and goals are in place and that Internet & Reseller Sales performance supports organizational quality objectives.
Set team goals and reviews progress on a weekly basis. Establish & measure Sales efficiency & effectiveness as well as customer service metrics.
In collaboration with the Digital Sales General Manager, responsible for developing career paths and growth opportunities for team members, encouraging competency and commitment to ensure employees are retained and have opportunities for growth within the organization.
Teaches and encourages growth in skills including selling and closing, company’s product / upgrading/alternative part offerings, incrementally increasing product and sales knowledge, and adding value to the customer experience.
Instills the company culture in each team member by applying best practices and processes, focusing on customer service and strong business ethics, practicing an open-door policy, open communication, and portraying utmost ethical standards, resulting in a work environment that is professional and energetic.
Takes part in budgeting activities and monthly P&L monitoring and measurements with leadership.
Assist the Digital Sales General Manager with other activities within the organization. This includes the training, management and administration of extended Sales & Service personnel of other groups as needed.
Participates in the company’s Total Quality Program by driving the importance of quality, ensuring the branch is following the defined processes, and identifying the areas of process improvement.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Requires a business related Bachelors Degree and five years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires a minimum of three years experience as an Account Representative and Team Lead with documented success in building accounts and the ability to sell the full line card.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Detailed understanding of digital selling strategies interwoven with modern enterprise B2B eCommerce best practices.
- Expert ability to pull & interpret analytics using variety of reporting & BI tool options and effectively turn into actionable business development strategies.
- Possesses thorough knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, product, vendors, warehousing, branch operations and systems.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial information.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational and teaching skills.
- Must have ability to write and interpret reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
- Strong interpersonal/teamwork skills in order to develop effect relationships inside and outside the organization
- Strong goal oriented people manager that characterizes the blend of creative thinking along with a results driven mindset
- Very high initiative and drive for organizational success
- Advanced level Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Must be able to type 40 WPM.
