Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Location: Mesquite
Pay: $24-$30/hr
Reports To: Facilities Manager
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance of our Client’s manufacturing warehouse facilities in the Mesquite area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building maintenance, a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and the ability to lead a team of maintenance technicians. This role ensures the optimal functioning of the building’s infrastructure and some machinery equipment, addressing both preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of building systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to the building’s infrastructure, including electrical systems, heating/cooling units, plumbing, and general facility upkeep.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA, and ensure the team follows best practices for workplace safety.
- Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive tasks.
- Coordinate with other departments, including production, to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with operational needs.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices in building maintenance and safety.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during off-hours or weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a maintenance team.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to work in varying conditions, including indoor and outdoor environments.
