Job Title: Maintenance Tech I - Roadway

Pay: $20/hr

We are seeking a  Maintenance Technician to manage Client’s roadway landscape assets. Responsibilities include litter and debris removal, weeding, and various landscape maintenance tasks to enhance the appearance and condition of the landscape. You will operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, tractors, forklifts, and mowers. Tasks also include tree and shrub trimming, plant installation, landscape modifications, and applying pesticides. Additionally, you will assist with landscape inspections and preventive maintenance. This is an essential position, requiring attendance during emergencies and inclement weather.

Responsibilities:

• Remove litter, debris, and unwanted items within  roadway landscape areas.


• Perform landscape maintenance including weeding, mulch replacement, fertilizing, and erosion repair.


• Conduct blowing, edging, weed eating, and trimming of brush and trees.


• Assist with installing, removing, and replacing landscape materials like ornamental grasses, shrubs, and trees.


• Apply herbicides and insecticides under the direction of a licensed pesticide applicator.


• Assist in landscape irrigation repairs with an irrigation technician or licensed irrigator.


• Participate in snow and ice events, preparing, operating, and cleaning equipment.


• Operate and inspect all equipment, tools, and vehicles before and after use.


• Report any damage or failures according to established procedures.

• HS Diploma or Equivalent


• 1 year of construction or landscape experience


• Valid Class “C” driver’s license
