Job Title: Material Handler - 1st shift
Hours: Mon - Sat from 6:00am- 2:00pm
Pay: $15 - $19/hr depending on experience
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Reports to: Molding Floor Supervisor
We are seeking a 1st shift Material Handler to join our client’s team in Fort Worth, TX. This position involves efficiently handling materials and ensuring the smooth flow of operations within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow work orders or verbal instructions to determine which materials or items need to be moved.
- Unpack and prepare materials for use or shipment.
- Move items manually or with equipment to and from designated areas, including pallets, shelves, or vehicles.
- Securely load materials for transport, using strapping or padding to prevent damage.
- Organize materials in storage areas to maintain an efficient workspace.
- Label or tag items with identifying information for proper tracking and inventory.
- Collect samples of materials and deliver them for quality inspections.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area, supporting machine operators as needed.
- Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle materials and products.
- Collaborate with team leads to complete tasks that support production goals.
Required Qualifications :
- 1+ years of material handling or related experience.
- Forklift or pallet jack experience preferred but not required
- Must adhere to all safety and security protocols, report unsafe conditions, and operate equipment responsibly.
- Ability to follow straightforward instructions and handle standardized tasks with minimal variation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as other relevant software.
- Able to lift and handle materials safely while working collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and present information to teams.
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 55 pounds.
- Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise levels are typically loud.
