We are seeking a skilled Molding Technician Lead to operate and produce high-quality plastic injection molded products using machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure production goals are met, maintain product standards, and foster a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Request and manage materials to meet production targets.


• Inspect products to ensure they meet required specifications.


• Manage and oversee a team of 5-10 Molding Technicians across shifts.


• Handle employee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.


• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.


• Plan and estimate worker hours based on production schedules.


• Communicate company policies and enforce safety regulations.


• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders; assign tasks accordingly.


• Adjust work procedures to align with production schedules.


• Recommend improvements to enhance production methods, equipment efficiency, and product quality.


• Propose changes to optimize working conditions and equipment use for greater efficiency.


• Troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues; assist workers in solving challenges.


• Develop and implement plans to motivate employees and boost productivity.


• Maintain accurate time and production records.


• Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate department activities.


• Set up and operate machines and equipment as needed.


• Perform tasks alongside workers when required.

• 1-2 years in manufacturing experience


• Associate’s degree preferred but not required


• Must be forklift certified


• Proficient in Microsoft Word and other relevant software.


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage various tasks with limited standardization.


• Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and present information to teams.


• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, crouch, or crawl.


• Must occasionally lift or move up to 55 pounds.


• Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.


• Work environment includes exposure to moving machinery, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise levels are typically loud.
