What You’ll Do:

• Conduct in-process inspections, including dimensional verification and coating assessments.


• Perform visual inspections of welded joints for compliance and detect any defects using equipment such as magnifying glasses and flashlights.


• Verify finished product dimensions against work order specifications.


• Assist in inspecting received raw materials and ensuring compliance with specifications.


• Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results through photographs and additional testing.


• Support calibration efforts for inspection instruments and gauges.


• Assist with training production employees on quality standards.


• Communicate with shift supervisors, operations managers, and engineering teams to resolve issues. 


• Conduct audits on products and processes, reporting findings as required.

• 2+ years of quality assurance or related experience


• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Manufacturing or steel fabrication experience is a plus.


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.


• Have basic knowledge of arc welding for various metals.


• Familiarity with liquid and powder coatings is a plus.


• Understanding of ASTM, AWWA, and AWS/ASME welding codes.


• Ability to perform physical testing like dye-penetrant and magnetic particle inspections.


• Comfortable with shop math, measuring tools (calipers, micrometers), and reading blueprints.


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.


• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
