Location: Lewisville, TX

Hours: Mon - Thurs from 6am - 3:30pm and Fri from 6am - 10am 

Pay: $20-$23/hr

We are seeking an experienced Welding Tooling Designer to enhance our manufacturing processes by designing precise jigs and fixtures, focusing on Resistance Spot Welding (RSW) and MIG welding. This role involves 60% SolidWorks design work and 40% hands-on production floor collaboration, emphasizing quality, strict tolerance, and Poka-Yoke (mistake-proofing) in all designs. 

• Create tooling, jigs, and fixtures tailored for RSW and MIG welding processes, utilizing SolidWorks to achieve precise and high-quality designs.


• Select and work with materials such as birch, phenolic, and metal to meet durability and functionality requirements.


• Ensure all tooling meets strict tolerance and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards, applying Poka-Yoke principles to maintain process reliability.


• Actively participate in product development reviews, working with manufacturing engineers and production teams to ensure alignment with production requirements.


• Identify potential manufacturing issues during the design phase, adjusting enhancing efficiency, and reduce errors.


• Maintain detailed records of designs, modifications, and progress to support production operations and team coordination.
